Dabur Amla Hair Oil
Dabur Amla Hair Oil is very popular with Asian and Middle Eastern women and for good reason. Made with Amla (Indian gooseberry), the oil has many health and beauty benefits. A small amount is applied to dirty hair at least an hour before washing; the bottle recommends leaving it overnight. I've found only one shampooing afterwards is necessary and no need to follow up with a conditioner. This particular brand was most recommended by the Indian merchants I've interviewed. After just one application, I could feel a real difference. My hair is healthier and has had a very nice sheen. I've been using the amla for some time and am very happy with the results. Vatika Black Seed Hair Oil
This lovely hair oil is applied to the hair and scalp after washing, while hair is still wet or when dry. It has a feminine fragrance and is absorbed well. I use it several times a week and find the oil makes my hair straighter (a positive or negative, depending on how you want your hair styled); two women I bought the oil for said they had the same result. The oil is very thin and slippery so it can be mess if you pour too much in your hand. Black Seed oil has been known for centuries in the ancient cultures of Asia and the Middle East for its powerful properties. The oil is loaded with vitamins & minerals and I really love it. There are a number of products containing black seed oil on the market; the Vatika brand was most recommended so I plan to stick with it. A product of the U.A.E.

Ayur Brand Amla & Shikakai Shampoo
Ayur Amla & Shikakai shampoo was recommended to me by several Indian merchants as the best choice for washing out the Dabur Amla oil. The product states that natural herbal extracts (ie: Shikakai) nourishes the scalp, stimulates growth and strengthens hair. So far, I've been having very positive results. It smells great, works in small quantities and is inexpensive. The product does contain sulfates and parabens, so I only use it every other week after amla deep conditioning. I do not know if this shampoo would be good for everyday use; I would recommend buying it from an Indian store to save money. I've paid less than $4.00 per bottle and it lasts for quite some time.
